Sometimes all you need is a great midweek event to keep you feeling fresh and rejuvenated at work. I recently attended Seattle Magazine‘s ‘Leaders at Lunch’ event, held at Daniel’s Broiler in Bellevue, and I found just that.
‘Leaders at Lunch’ is a weekly event series currently going into it’s 3rd week. Each event features a local leader in business who offers insight into their particular field of study. Microsoft’s Kim Lowe was the speaker at last the last event and even though we aren’t in same field, I found her talk to be really, really informative.
The event is short but sweet. Seattle Magazine does a great job of feeding you full of good food and great information, as well as getting you out the door in an hour. I found this to be a great networking opportunity as well, so bring business cards if you go!
I’m definitely planning to attend at least 1 more event in this series. If you’re interested in more information or purchasing tickets for Leaders at Lunch, click here.
I’m excited to be giving away a $20 gift certificate for Daniel’s Broiler (or any of the Schwartz Brothers restaurants)! To enter, just be sure you are following my blog via e-mail or wordpress. That’s it! If you’re already following me, you’re already entered to win : ) I’ll choose a winner at random on February 5th and contact the person directly. Good luck!
